Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

Multi-factor authentication (MFA) provides an additional layer of security for your UARK account that makes it more difficult for unauthorized users to access services, applications, and sensitive data. MFA combines something you know (UARK email and password) with something you have (a trusted device, like a phone). MFA is required for accessing all student, faculty, and staff UARK accounts starting at the time the account is created.

Non-primary UARK accounts and shared email mailboxes for departments, testing, affiliates, retirees, and system admins can be requested.

Leaving the University and UARK Account Expiration

When you leave the university, your UARK account will be deleted and you will no longer be able to access Workday, Blackboard Learn, campus Wi-Fi, computer labs, Office 365 or other university services. All email, personal websites and saved files will be purged. University-licensed software must be removed from your personal devices.

Affiliate UARK Accounts for Non-Employees

Affiliate accounts can be granted to those not employed by the university or enrolled as students who have a legitimate need to access university resources. Affiliate accounts can access campus Wi-Fi, Workday, email and other online services. Most affiliations are short-term and end within a year.
