Requesting a Wireless VoIP Phone

Wireless phone handsets are not available for the current VoIP system. To replace this functionality, IT Services can help departments configure a university-owned cellphone for making and receiving VoIP phone calls.

  1. Order a cellphone from the university. It is not necessary to select a data/voice plan since the device will be used with UARK Wi-Fi only.
  2. A dedicated secondary account is required for managing device settings in Microsoft Teams. Request a secondary account.
  3. Once the cellphone has been provided and the secondary account has been created, contact the VoIP team to complete the configuration.
