Overview
The UARK Help Portal (help.uark.edu) is a way to request services and support at the University of Arkansas. This article explains how to create a ticket by submitting a general request or selecting a specific service request form. Using the correct option helps your request reach the team best equipped to assist you as quickly as possible.
Before you start
To create a ticket in the UARK Help Portal, make sure you have:
- Your UARK account credentials
- A brief description of what you need help with
- Any relevant details (error messages, screenshots, device type, location, or deadlines)
Steps
Option 1: Submit a General Request
Use this option if you are not sure which service applies to your issue. General requests are routed to the IT Help Desk, who will assess your request and forward it to the appropriate support team.
To create a general request, please follow the directions on UARK Help Portal: How to Submit IT Help Desk Ticket.
Option 2: Browse or Search for a Service
Use this option when you know the type of service you need (for example: software access, training requests, account changes, or equipment). Submitting a service request routes your ticket directly to the team responsible for that service.
- Go to help.uark.edu and sign in.
- Select Services from the top navigation.
- Browse Categories within the Service Catalog or use the Search on the top of the page to find the service you need.
- Select the service to open its request form.
- Complete and submit the form.
Tip: If it takes you more than 10–15 minutes to figure something out, submit a ticket or contact the IT Help Desk. They are connected to subject matter experts and can often resolve issues quickly.
What’s next
After your ticket is submitted, you will receive a confirmation email with a ticket number. You can track updates or respond to questions by viewing your tickets in the UARK Help Portal. If additional information is needed, the support team will contact you through the ticket. View the section on this page, Related Articles for more information on how to use the UARK Help Portal.
