Purchase a Polycom Conference Phone

Departments are responsible for purchasing VoIP-compatible conference phones. Before purchasing a device, please consult with IT Services for the latest recommendation.

Register Your Meeting Room

Conference phones are linked to their conference rooms using Exchange resource accounts. Before getting started, your meeting room must be registered as an Exchange resource.

Set up your Polycom Conference Phone

  1. Select Microsoft Teams.
  2. Open the Settings menu and tap Advanced.
  3. Enter the default passcode: 456
    Note: This code can be changed once the phone is provisioned.
  4. From the Advanced menu, navigate to Administration Settings, Network Configuration, Provisioning Server.
    • Server Type: HTTP
    • Server Address: noam.ipp.sdg.teams.microsoft.com
  5. Select DHCP Menu.
    • Boot Server: Static
    • BootSrv Opt: 160
  6. Tap the Back button on the top left and confirm all settings are correct.
  7. Tap Back again and then tap Save Config.
  8. Collect the IP address and MAC address for the device by navigating to Settings, Status, System Information.
  9. Request device activation.
    You will need the following information:
    • Device IP address and MAC address
    • Make and model (ex., Polycom 8500)
    • Meeting room's Exchange resource account name
