Paste from Word
If you are already familiar with Microsoft Word, it is recommended to initially create the first draft of your knowledge base (KB) article in Word. Appropriate headings created in Word will carry over to the article when pasted. Links created in Word will also copy to the article.
Use the Paste from Word button to paste text from a Word document.

In the Paste from Word window, right-click and select Paste to copy over the formatting (bold, headings, links, lists, etc.), or select Paste Without Formatting if plain text is wanted.
Pressing ctrl/v is the same as selecting Paste.

Some formatting may need to be done after pasting, but most will copy over. Later edits to the article are often more efficiently accomplished in the TDX editor.
The Paste from Word button also works for text copied from web pages and other sources.
Copying from KB article to KB article
When copying and pasting text and images within the same article, ctrl/v or right-click, paste to directly paste into the same article works well. Images can be copied and pasted within the same article or into a different article.
Pasting images
Do NOT paste images from Word or other sources besides another KB article; pasted images will be poor quality and cannot be easily resized. Images can, however, be copied from other knowledge base articles when the article is being edited. Edit the article and copy text and images from within the editor. After pasting into another article, the image should retain its attributes such as alt tag, borders, alignment, and size.
