UARK Help Portal: How to Withdraw (Cancel) a Ticket

Audience: Students, Faculty, Staff

Responsible Group: IT Training and Outreach

Overview

These directions explain how to withdraw (cancel) a ticket request you previously submitted in the UARK Help Portal. Withdrawing a ticket is useful when an issue has been resolved, the request is no longer needed, or it was submitted in error. Only the Requestor can withdraw their ticket.

Before you start

Make sure you have the following:

  • Signed into the UARK Help Portal at help.uark.edu
  • Ticket you want to withdraw was submitted by you (or on your behalff by someone else)

Steps

  1. Go to help.uark.edu and select Sign in.
  2. After signing in, select Services from the top navigation.
  3. Select Ticket Requests to view a list of your submitted requests and incidents.
  4. Click the Title of the ticket you want to withdraw to open the ticket details page. This will open the ticket details.
  5. On the main panel, select the Withdraw Request.
  6. When prompted, select an option for withdrawing the request. It is optional to add Comments
  7. Select Withdraw.
Note: Withdrawing a ticket helps IT teams prioritize active requests and reduces follow-up communication for issues that are already resolved.

What’s next

Once withdrawn, the ticket status will be marked as Cancelled and removed from active tickets. No further action will be taken on the request. If you need help again later, you can submit a new ticket at any time through the UARK Help Portal.
