Develop IT: How to Get Technical Training

Overview

Audience: Students, Faculty, Staff, all @uark.edu account holders 

There are a lot of university supported technologies at the university. The Technology Learning & Development team within IT Services (UITS) helps the whole campus community to learn what is available, how to access, how to use, and best practices and setup of optimized technology use. Anyone with an @uark.edu account may request technology training support for any application that is supported by the university. Additionally, if you have question on what is available, the Technology Learning & Development team can assist with the myriad of options available.

Where to Find Technology Information

  • General information about software can be found on its.uark.edu. 
  • More specific information and self-help articles can be found on the UARK Help Portal by utilizing the Search or AI-Chat Bot.
  • Requesting technology training support is accessed using this form: Request IT Training SupportNOTE: Use this for asking questions about what software is available, how to access, how to use software, and where to find training for software. 
  • Requesting developing technology training is accessed using this form: Request to Create IT Training. NOTE: Use this for when you know what technology/software training is needed, it is university-supported technology/software, and training is needed to be created by the university to facilitate correct usage or adoption of it.
