Overview
Before requesting an IT PMO Project, make sure that you have gotten all necessary approvals and have all required information.
Required Approvals
Project approvals are the first step in the project request process. Ensure you have all required approvals before submitting an IT PMO project request.
All projects must be approved by the project sponsor. The project sponsor is the person who "owns" the project on behalf of the department or organization and who has overall responsibility for a project including funding, work authorization, and authorization approval for the department. This may be the dean or director of your department.
If a project requires any new purchase, renewal, or update of any software and/or hardware, it is mandatory for the requestor to get approval from:
- the IT Services Security Team.
For Security Team approval, a HECVAT must be obtained from all vendors, and the requestor must request a HECVAT Review.
and
- the IT Accessibility Team.
For Accessibility Team approval, a VPAT must be obtained from all vendors, and the requestor must request a VPAT Review.
and
- The university’s Legal Team. Contact gckrev@uark.edu for guidance.
