Microsoft Fabric provides a managed analytics platform for instructional, research, and business workloads at the University of Arkansas.
Use this request to create a new Fabric workspace for analytics, reporting, data engineering, AI, instructional activities, research projects, or departmental operations.
Before submitting this request, be prepared to:
- Identify a Workspace Owner responsible for the workspace.
- Describe the intended use of the workspace.
- Describe the support plan for the solutions in the workspace.
- Identify any compliance, regulatory, contractual, or data retention requirements.
- Confirm your understanding of applicable university policies and standards.
You will be asked to select the Workspace Domain from the following list:
- Departmental - Department-specific reporting, analytics, and operational workloads.
- Research - Sponsored or non-sponsored research projects and related data analysis.
- Learning - Instructional activities, courses, labs, and academic learning environments.
- Sandbox - Temporary experimentation, training, evaluation, and exploratory workloads.
- Developer - Development branches for git integration management.
- Enterprise Data Platform - Institutional and centrally managed enterprise data products and services.
Workspace creation requests are reviewed to ensure alignment with platform governance, security requirements, and capacity planning.
