Vendor Accessibility Roadmap

You have been asked to complete this form because your company either has not provided an Accessibility Conformance Report (ACR), the ACR showed that your product does not meet our accessibility standards, or the ACR lacked sufficient documentation (evaluation methods, remarks, and explanations).

As a state-funded university and public entity, the University of Arkansas is impacted by the U.S. Department of Justice's April 24, 2024, rule, updating its regulations for Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The final rule has specific requirements to ensure that web content and applications are accessible to people with disabilities. We evaluate the accessibility of software applications using ACR documents. 

An Accessibility Conformance Report (ACR) is created using a Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT). Here are instructions for getting the most current VPAT.

1. Go to the ITI VPAT page 
2. Under Resources, select:
   VPAT 2.5 WCAG (November 2023) for web-based and mobile applications
   or
   VPAT 2.5 508 (November 2023) for software and hardware
3. Download and complete the template. It includes instructions.
4. Once completed, the VPAT with documented testing results is referred to as an Accessibility Conformance Report (ACR).

We evaluate ACR documents on the number of criteria supported and the quality of the documentation. We look for evaluation methods that include automated and manual testing as well as accessibility tools, such as screenreaders. We also look for detailed remarks and explanations for criteria that are unsupported, partially supported or not evaluated.
