Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) gives remote access to a virtual computer lab desktop to university students, faculty, and staff. The virtual lab software can be accessed from any location using any device.

Accessing the Virtual Desktop
To access the virtual desktop:
- Log into Azure Virtual Desktop Remote Lab using your UARK username and password.
- Click Connect in UARK Remote Lab Desktop.
- Authenticate to the Virtual Desktop.
- The virtual machine will automatically sync your OneDrive folder including your desktop, documents, and pictures.
Note: You might need to open the desktop full screen by clicking the Full Screen button (top, right) to see everything on the desktop.
- Search for applications, or click the Windows Start button (next to Search field), and click the All apps button.
Note: Make sure you are using the Search or Start button in the virtual desktop. If this part of the screen is cut off, click the Full Screen button.
Documents may take longer to load on first use of AVD.
