Overview
LinkedIn Learning is an online learning platform that provides skill-based video courses, learning paths, and assessments. It is available for free to all UARK account holders. When University of Arkansas users access LinkedIn Learning through their UARK single sign-on account, the platform collects learning activity data to personalize recommendations and provide insights to the University about platform usage.
This article explains what data is collected, what the University can see in administrative reports, and how that data is used. No personal LinkedIn.com profile data is shared with the University.
What Data Is Collected and Reported
LinkedIn Learning collects two primary categories of information that may appear in organizational reports:
- Identity and license data (who you are in the system)
- Learning activity data (how you engage with learning content)
These data points are organized into different types of reports (user-level, content-level, group-level, and time-based engagement reports). The data elements below come from those LinkedIn Learning administrative exports and dashboards.
