Overview
My Apps dashboard used to provide secure, centralized access to university-supported digital tools and services. Faculty, staff, and students with active UARK accounts have access to the My Apps Portal. Using My Apps means less time logging in, fewer forgotten URL’s, and a customizable experience that helps you personalize your work and study to stay organized and productive.
Key Features
- Launch frequently used applications from one place like Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, Blackboard, Workday, Zoom, and more.
- Access department-specific tools that are enabled based on your role (e.g., faculty, staff, student).
- Discover new productivity tools available through Microsoft 365 and UARK IT Services.
- Ensure secure access with built-in Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and Single Sign-On (SSO).
- Reorder and remove apps on the dashboard for personalization. Remove
d unused apps to declutter your dashboard and reorder it by drag and drop into new locations. Tip: Set your most used apps at the top.
- Create/Edit collections to change the view of your My Apps with one-click.
- Customize dashboard by adding other applications that do not use UARK Single Sign-On or add links to common go-to sites.
Tip: Take control of your My Apps dashboard by customizing layout, app order, and favorites to match your workflow and preferences.
Access
You can access My Apps from a web browser, desktop application, or mobile device. Be sure to log in using your @uark.edu email address.
Web App (Desktop)
- Visit myapps.microsoft.com.
- Sign in using your @uark.edu credentials.
- Click on any app icon listed to gain app access. NOTE: Some apps that you may not have access to are listed, you may request access by creating an IT Help Desk ticket.
Tip: Make it easier to use My Apps by saving it as a bookmark or set it as your web browser home page.
Desktop Shortcut
After signing in with your work or school account, you'll see a personalized dashboard of all the apps assigned to you by the university. To make access even easier, you can add a shortcut to the portal that can be added to your computer’s desktop:
- In Chrome, go to the site, use the three-dot menu > Save and share > Create shortcut, then name it and choose whether to open it in a window
- In Edge, navigate to the site, click the three-dot menu > Apps > Install this site as an app, then manage it via edge://apps to pin it or create a desktop shortcut
- In Firefox, drag the padlock icon from the address bar to your desktop to create a shortcut
- On Safari Mac, navigate to the site then use the file menu or keyboard shortcut Command + D to save it as a bookmark or add to your Favorites Bar for quick access
