Finding Your MAC Address

A MAC address is also referred to as the network adapter address, physical address, Ethernet ID or hardware address. The MAC address is represented as a 12 character hexadecimal expression, for example, "00-00-C0-8E-A1-DE."

Windows

1. Open the Start Menu and click Settings (gear icon).
2. Click Network & internet on the left.
3. Click Advanced network settings.
4. Click Hardware and connection properties.
5. The MAC address will be under Physical address (MAC).

macOS (OS X)

1. Open System Preferences from the Apple menu or the Dock.
2. Click the Network icon.
3. Select Ethernet Connection from the list on the left.
4. Click Advanced.
5. Click the Hardware tab to display the MAC address.
   Note: In earlier versions of OS X, click the Ethernet tab. 

Android

1. Open Settings from the App menu or the top tray. 
2. Tap Wi-Fi. Click the gear icon in the top right.

The MAC address will be displayed near the bottom of the list. 

iOS (iPhone, iPad)

1. Open Settings. 
2. Tap General. 
3. Tap About.
4. Scroll down until you see "Wi-Fi address."
