In ongoing efforts to strengthen the security of sensitive data and protect university resources, IT Services is conducting an annual review of all university UARK accounts.
As part of this review, faculty and staff who are listed as owners of accounts including affiliate, guest, retiree, emeritus, service accounts and shared mailboxes will receive an email from security@uark.edu that contains a Microsoft Form.
Users will be asked to identify which accounts are currently in use and which accounts can be expired by filling out the IT Security Account Review Form for each account listed in the email.
All accounts will be evaluated annually from this point forward to ensure university data is protected and to comply with security requirements. This proactive measure aims to reduce vulnerabilities to cyberattacks, scams and other threats, providing a safer online environment for the campus community.
While IT Services is asking users to verify active and unused accounts, the form does not ask for passwords or sensitive details. IT Services will never ask for sensitive information in an email.
