SAS is available by site license and in Tech Spot labs and the Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Remote Lab.

Get a SAS License

Use the Request Research Software button on the right to request a new SAS license or renew a SAS license.

When you receive a SAS site license, an email with download and installation instructions will be sent to your @uark.edu email.  

The SAS Enterprise Guide is included with the site license and is installed by default.

The software is available to students at no charge; however, faculty and staff may or may not be charged for the license depending on your affiliate college.

If you need to install SAS on multiple computers, please be sure that each install requires one license.

You may need administrator rights of access to install software and activate/update the SAS license. Contact your Department/College IT support staff for assistance.

Faculty and student licenses

Faculty and student licenses are provided at no cost for academic purposes only. The SAS academic license is for teaching and research use only.

Staff licenses

Staff licenses are available for $410. The annual license period is from July 1 to June 30. Upgrades are free. The SAS administrative license is for staff use only.

Reinstall SAS on a New Computer
