YubiKey registration for Mac

These self-registration instructions are for users who already have Authenticator set as their primary MFA method. You will be prompted to authenticate using the Authenticator app (as done previously with Authenticator set as your primary MFA method) to register a new MFA method.

NOTE: Registration process might time out. If this happens, start the registration process at “click +Add sign-in method”.

1. Insert the YubiKey into your device.
    
2. Go to account.uark.edu.
    
3. In the Security Info pane, click Update Info.
    
4. On the Security Info page, click +Add sign-in method.
   
   
5. Add a sign-in method by selecting the Security key or passkey option from the list.
   
   
6. Click Next.
   
   
7. When prompted to sign in, click Other Options.
   
   
8. Click Security Key to choose how you would like to sign in.
   
   
9. You will be prompted to touch your security key. Tap the circle on your YubiKey.
   
   
10. Create a new PIN.
    
    
11. Confirm your PIN.
    
    
12. Touch the YubiKey to finish setting up your YubiKey.
