Data Warehouse is a repository made up of over 270 tables of financial (purchasing, payroll, general ledger, etc.), academic (UAConnect) and historical BASIS data copied from live production systems at regular intervals where staff and faculty with appropriate access can run queries and reports of university data.

Data Warehouse is a repository made up of over 270 tables of financial (purchasing, payroll, general ledger, etc.), academic (UAConnect) and historical BASIS data copied from live production systems at regular intervals where staff and faculty with appropriate access can run queries and reports of university data.
The repository can be accessed with SAS Enterprise Guide (EG), the SAS Add-in for Excel, Microsoft Access, and the SAS Web Application.
Requesting access to Data Warehouse
Access requires authorization from the department head or person responsible for authorizing cost center expenditures. This person must be identified on the request form.

Accessing Data Warehouse
The Data Warehouse’s U of A Standardized Reports can be used to run reports on historical BASIS data. SAS EG or a SAS Add-in for MS Access or MS Excel are available for download with no license required and are recommended to Windows users. These are available for Windows only, so the recommendation for Mac users is to use the SAS Stored Processes Web Application in a web browser.

One-time custom reports and new standardized reports can be generated by request. Changes to existing reports can also be requested.
