Major Releases by Workday: Workday, the company behind the platform, delivers major releases twice a year, in the months of March and September. These major releases are packed with new features, functionalities, and enhancements that are designed to streamline your processes and provide you with the most up-to-date tools for success.
This Workday release features improvements to business processes and user workflows to streamline the user experience including updates to menu items and upgraded search functionality, all aimed at optimizing user efficiency. Workday Release (WD2024R2) will go live on September 21, 2024.
RELEASE HIGHLIGHTS
- AI Enhanced Search: New AI search integrations allow you to find tasks and reports more quickly. This enhancement saves you time and effort by using AI to analyze your search query and then display the best matching task and report at the top the search results. To enable "Simplified Search," simply toggle the switch above your search results
- Related Actions Button: The related actions button has been modified for improved visibility. It is slightly larger than the previous design and the color has been changed from gold to blue, making the button easier to see on the page.
- Menu: The Menu has been overhauled with an entirely new look and feel. The Home button has been relocated to the menu, and apps are now organized under different headers for better accessibility. Expect to see this update sometime near the end of 2024.
