Install Screencastify

  1. Click on the Screencastify Extension link.
  2. Click Add to Chrome.
  3. Click Add Extension.
  4. Click on the Extensions button in the upper right-hand corner of the screen and choose Screencastify.
    Click on the Screencastify button in the upper right-hand corner of the screen and choose screencastify.
  5. Click on the pin button so that your Screencastify always appears on your extensions toolbox.
    Click on the pin to make the Screencastify icon always appear.
  6. Sign in with your Google Account.
  7. Allow Screencastify to use your webcam, microphone, and drawing and annotation tools by clicking Allow when prompted.

Create your Video

Use Screencastify to create the media for your assignment.

Upload Your Video to Kaltura.

  1. Open a web browser and go to Blackboard.
  2. Click Tools on the left.
    Click on Tools
  3. Click Kaltura My Media.
  4. Click Add New.
  5. Select Media Upload.
    Click Add New and select Media Upload.
  6. Choose your file, and click Open.
  7. While uploading, you can change the filename if desired. Click Save after any changes.
  8. Scroll down and click Go to Media to view media processing progress. Media processing times depend on the file size of the uploading file. It can take upwards to 30 minutes.

Once you’re uploaded your media then you can submit it to a discussion board or assignment.
