Overview
Microsoft Teams is a cloud-based collaboration and communication platform available to all students, faculty, and staff at the University of Arkansas through Microsoft 365. Teams supports file sharing, messaging, video conferencing, and integration with apps to facilitate real-time collaboration in courses, departments, research, and project groups no matter your location.
Key Features
Microsoft Teams allows users to create, organize, and participate in collaborative workspaces. Key features include:
- Individual and group chat functionality
- Video and audio conferencing
- Channel-based team collaboration
- Real-time co-authoring with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Integration with Microsoft 365 apps and third-party tools
- Persistent chat history and threaded conversations
- Scheduling and calendar integration via Outlook
- Mobile app availability (Apple and Google stores)
Note: Teams requires an internet connection. Ensure stable connectivity for meetings and shared file access.
Access
You can access Microsoft Teams through a web browser, desktop application, or mobile device. Use your @uark.edu email address to log in.
Web Application (Desktop)
- Visit https://teams.microsoft.com.
- Log in using your @uark.edu credentials through the Microsoft sign-in portal.
- Select or create a team to get started.

Download the Microsoft Teams app from the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or Microsoft Store and log in with your @uark.edu account.
