Steps

Click on Design from the left side menu, then the Registration Options tab.

Switch Delay Confirmation Email toggle to on. Read the warning message that populates on screen and click okay. This will not stop the confirmation message. It just holds it until payment is made.

Next click on Messages/Communication.

Click the Registration Confirmation Message bar.

This message will serve as your receipt message. You may choose the standard receipt or one you have customized.

Verify that the Send receipt after payment is toggled off. Notice the registration confirmation message for this event contains the receipt information. They no longer need the receipt.

This process does not eliminate the ticket email.
As mentioned above, the dashboard will require attention and a customized message for customers who have registered but have not paid and cannot get back to their account. The following message is recommended.
Hello <firstName>,
Thank you so much for your interest in <eventName>. We see that you have registered but still need to complete payment.
Your reservation is not complete until you have successfully paid.
Please use your confirmation code to look up your event registration from the event page.
<confirmation>.

You can revisit your account by clicking here.
Please complete payment in the next 48 hours. If payment is not complete, your registration may be canceled.
Please note, you may have to allow popups for the payment window to appear.
