Body

  1. Make sure they have access to a site.  
  2. Logging in 
  3. If it’s a new site, explain the site review/publication process, show checklist on WordpressUA User Guide. 
  4. Dashboard 
    1. Pages and posts—lists of these, adding a new one, what’s the difference 
    2. Media library—show alt text field 
    3. Users—add users using Site and User Creator, NOT Add user 
    4. Plugins—explain restrictions, request process 
    5. Page editing—create a Test page   
      1. Show them how to add blocks 
      2. Focus on text, heading, image and column blocks 
      3. Show them page and block settings and how they change depending on where you click 
      4. Show them big list of blocks and list of blocks on page, encourage them to explore. 
  5. Customizer 
    1. Open the customizer 
    2. Explain that the customizer is for site-wide settings 
    3. Menu 
    4. Header 
    5. Footer (use shortcuts) 
  6. Questions
