Using Kumo for File Storage in a Lab or with Remote Lab Desktop

When logged into campus computer lab or Remote Lab desktops, Kumo allows you to save to a cloud storage account the same way you would save to the local storage drive.

To get started, follow the steps below or visit kumo.uark.edu.

  1. Log into your Remote Lab desktop or Tech Spot lab computer.
  2. A prompt will appear in the system tray in the lower right corner of your screen. Click Setup and log in with your UARK username and password.
  3. Authorize each cloud service you wish to use by clicking Authorize from the dropdown menu.
    You can remove Kumo access at any time by clicking the Deauthorize button at kumo.uark.edu.

After you upload or delete a file, your change will be synced within 30 seconds. You might need to refresh the window in order to see recent changes. 

All file transfers to and from the storage providers are encrypted. Kumo never sees or stores your login information.
