Overview
Audience: Technicians, Project Managers, and other TDWorkManagement users on TeamDynamix with reporting access.
Reports in TeamDynamix help you organize and analyze information about work managed in the platform. Reports use real-time information from TeamDynamix applications and can be used to track work, identify trends, monitor performance, and support operational and business decisions.
The reports and data available to you depend on the TeamDynamix applications and permissions assigned to your account. Most report creation and management is completed within Work Management.

- Use prompts to change selected filters when running a report.
- Add charts to visualize report results.
- Control who can view and run a report.

- Add reports to TeamDynamix dashboards.
- Export report results in Excel.
- Schedule reports for email delivery.

Types of Reports
TeamDynamix provides different report sources based on the applications available to you. Common report types include:
| Report Type |
What It Can Report |
Example Uses |
| Ticket Reports |
Information about tickets and ticket tasks within a ticketing application. |
Review open or unassigned tickets, monitor ticket status, identify workload, or analyze service activity. |
| Project Reports |
Information about projects available through the Projects application. |
Monitor project status, managers, schedules, project types, and progress. |
| Asset Reports |
Information about assets maintained in the Assets application. |
Review asset ownership, models, acquisition information, or upcoming replacement dates. |
| Analysis Reports |
Reporting across report sources available through the Analysis application. |

Tip: Before creating a new report, determine what question you want the report to answer. This can help you choose the appropriate report source, columns, filters, and visualization.
Report Sources
A report source determines the type of information available when building a report. Report sources are associated with TeamDynamix applications, and the sources available to you depend on your application access and permissions.
For example, a Ticket Report may provide ticket and ticket-task information, while a Project Report provides fields related to projects. Reports created within an application generally return information from that application.
Report Builder
When creating or editing a report, the Report Builder provides options for controlling what information is returned and how it is displayed. These settings can include:
- Name and Description: Identify the report and explain its purpose.
- Columns: Choose the fields displayed in the report.
- Filters: Determine which records are included or excluded.
- Prompts: Allow users to change selected filter values each time the report runs.
- Sorting: Determine the order in which results appear.
- Maximum Rows: Limit the number of records returned.
- Report Folder: Organize the report with related reports.
- Owner and Visibility: Determine who can view and run the report.
- Charts: Create visual representations of report results.
- Dashboard Delivery: Determine how the report appears when added to a dashboard.
- Exporting: Configure options for exported report results.
- Email Delivery: Schedule report results to be sent to selected recipients.
Reports and Dashboards
Reports can also be used as components of TeamDynamix dashboards. Depending on how the report is configured, dashboard users can view report information as a grid or as a chart. This allows frequently used reports and key information to be displayed together in one location.
Access
Reports are primarily accessed through TeamDynamix Work Management. The reports, report sources, and reporting applications available to you depend on your TeamDynamix role, application access, and permissions. If you need help with accessing an application within TeamDynamix, please create a support ticket with the TeamDynamix Administrators.
Within an application that supports reporting, select Reports, from the left menu, to view reports available to you. If you have permission to create reports, you can also create custom reports from the report sources available within that application.
