Overview
Audience: TeamDynamix Technicians with Knowledge Base management access (Technician II)
Knowledge Base shortcuts allow an article or category to appear in more than one location without creating duplicate content. Use a shortcut when the same content is relevant to multiple categories.
The shortcut points to the original article or category. This means there will only one original item to maintain, even when users can find it from multiple locations.
Tip: Use shortcuts instead of copying an article into another category. This keeps information in one article, making it easier to maintain and keep up to date.

What's next
The shortcut will appear in the category where you placed it. For most users, a shortcut looks the same as a regular article or category because there is no label identifying it as a shortcut.
Keep this in mind when using shortcuts. The breadcrumb will show the shortcut's location rather than making its relationship to the original location clear, which may be confusing to users.
For Technicians with knowledge base management access, shortcut categories will be designated with an anchor and pencil: . Select this icon to Edit Shortcut.
