Change Enablement: Overview of the Change Calendar in TeamDynamix

Summary

IT staff and Change Enablement participants use the Change Calendar in TeamDynamix to review approved and scheduled IT changes across the University of Arkansas. It helps the campus identify conflicts, avoid service disruptions, coordinate deployment timing, and improve communication before submitting or implementing a change request.

Audience: Technicians on TeamDynamix, Change Advisory Board (CAB), IT Change Manager

The Change Calendar is the starting point for the Change Enablement process at the University of Arkansas. It displays all approved and scheduled change requests across IT Services so technicians can identify conflicts, reduce service disruptions, and coordinate work across teams. Before submitting a change request, staff should review the calendar to understand what other planned changes, outages, or events may affect their work.

Key Features

The screenshot below has the number items shown:

  1. Shows all approved & scheduled changes
  2. Three month navigation - Top of the calendar page are the previous month, current month, and next month's views for seeing changes
  3. Create New Change Request button - Select this button to be taken to the change request form on TeamDynamix.
    NOTE: On those with Technician security role on TeamDynamix will be able to access the form. Request this security role from the TeamDynamix Admins found in the Related Services section in this article
  4. Legend button - Displays an overlay windows with the legend for color and symbol definitions
  5. Statistics button - Displays an overlay window that shows the current month's key metrics for changes
  6. View Today's Items button - Displays an overlay window with the changes for the current day
  7. Events toggle button - Displays athletic events
  8. View (Hide) My Change Tickets - A toggle button that will display the signed in Technician's change request they are responsible for in three lists: Today's Tickets (current day changes), Scheduled Tickets (future changes) , and Closed Tickets (past changes)

Tip: Most outages come from un-managed changes. Reviewing the Change Calendar before submitting a request helps prevent interference with other system updates and protects service availability for students, faculty, and staff.

Access

You can access Change Calendar from a web browser. Be sure to log in using your @uark.edu email address.

  1. Visit change.uark.edu
  2. If necessary, sign in using your @uark.edu credentials.
