Summary
This article defines BPM’s post-implementation review process, ensuring completed projects are validated, lessons are captured, and documentation is preserved for future process improvements.
Body
The Post-Implementation Review (PIR) finalizes the BPM project lifecycle. This review ensures project goals were achieved, evaluates user satisfaction, and captures lessons learned for future improvements.
Purpose
The purpose of this article is to define how BPM conducts post-implementation reviews to validate outcomes, identify improvement opportunities, and ensure all project documentation is archived appropriately.
Review Overview
The BPM team conducts a Post-Implementation Review within 30–60 days after go-live. The review includes:
- Assessing process efficiency and data accuracy
- Verifying that expected outcomes were achieved
- Collecting feedback from end users and stakeholders
Metrics & Validation
Review post-go-live metrics using Workday reports:
- Completion time of new process vs. prior state
- Number of sent-backs or errors
- Training or access-related support tickets
- Adoption and satisfaction indicators from stakeholders
Lessons Learned & Archiving
Hold a debrief meeting with stakeholders to document successes and improvement opportunities. Use the Lessons Learned Template to summarize:
- What worked well
- What could be improved
- Recommendations for future BPM projects
Archive all finalized project documentation (Future-State Map, UAT Results, Communications) in the BPM shared repository and attach to the TDX ticket before closure.
Outputs
- Post-Implementation Review Report
- Lessons Learned document
- Archived project documentation and TDX closure
